SUBJECT: End Time and Armageddon
QUESTION: Is Jesus Christ involved in a war when He returns?
ANSWER:
There are a number of scriptures and other information that
shows:
1) You will see Jesus coming.
2) We will be with Him
3) There will be war between Jesus, the angels and us with
physical mankind. Notice...
Matthew 24:30-31
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in
heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,
and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a
trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the
four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Note: This verse is
clear: You can see Him and we are gathered together (after
changing to Spirit) with Him.
1 Corinthians 15:52-53
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be
raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this
mortal must put on immortality.
Note: We are changed to
Spirit.
Revelation 1:7
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him,
and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the
earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Note: Everyone will see
Him (and us). We know this because of 1 Cor 15:52-53. Why
would He tell mankind that this would happen then keep it
invisible. I get that the return of Christ is wholly
visible for all mankind to see. No reason that anything be
hidden. All the people that have heard the gospel or read 1
Cor. will remember AS IT HAPPENS and AS THEY SEE IT.
Acts 1:11
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up
into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you
into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen
him go into heaven.
Note: Another verse
showing that we will see Him.
ARMAGEDDON
[ar mah GED un] (mountain of Megiddo)-- the site of the
final battle of this age in which God intervenes to destroy
the armies of Satan and to cast Satan into the bottomless
pit <Rev. 16:16; 20:1-3,7-10>. Scholars disagree about the
exact location of this place, but the most likely
possibility is the valley between Mount Carmel and the city
of Jezreel. This valley (known as the Valley of Jezreel and
sometimes referred to as the Plain of Esdraelon) was the
crossroads of two ancient trade routes and thus was a
strategic military site. Armageddon is the Greek word for
this area, which was the scene of many ancient battles.
Because of this history, Megiddo became a symbol of the
final conflict between God and the forces of evil. According
to the Book of Revelation, at Armageddon "the cup of the
wine of the fierceness of His [God's] wrath" <Rev. 16:19>
will be poured out, and the forces of evil will be
overthrown and destroyed. (from Nelson's Illustrated
Bible Dictionary)
Note: So "Megiddo" is a symbol of the final conflict
between God and the forces of evil. Remember the news of

FBI 'Project Megiddo' Report Warns of Millennium Violence in
Israel and U.S.
WASHINGTON (Ha'aretz) -11/1/99- The U.S. Federal Bureau of
Investigation has come out with a grave report that warns of
increasing danger of terrorism and other violent acts by
religious cults and racist organizations in both the United
States and Israel as the millennium approaches. On the
basis of the report - entitled the "Megiddo Project," after
the Israeli site where, according to the New Testament, the
battle of Armageddon will take place - the FBI has
distributed detailed warnings to local police departments
throughout the U.S., instructing them to prepare for
attacks, increased violence and crime in the run-up to
January 1, 2000. The FBI is focusing its efforts on
individuals, groups and cults motivated by apocalyptic
religious ideologies that expect the Day of Judgment to come
in the year 2000. The report also touches on believers in
the "New World Order" conspiracy theory, who are convinced
that the UN is secretly scheming to control the world and
oppress the people of the U.S. The FBI has studied militias
and various racist groups, including those claiming a
"Christian" identity, and has concluded that these groups are
stockpiling weapons in secret shelters in preparation for
acts of terror. According to the report, the targets for
these attacks are likely to be military installations,
foreign military units at U.S. bases, UN offices and
workers, and institutions connected with the Jewish and
black communities, as well as with other religious, sexual
and minorities in the U.S.
A good part of the report is devoted to Jerusalem, where the
FBI fears the influx of millennial tourists who come for
pilgrimage and worship will greatly increase the danger of
violence. The report warns that violent acts in Jerusalem,
which is holy to the three major monotheistic faiths, are
liable to give rise to similar incidents in the rest of the
world. Bureau experts told Ha'aretz that the volatile
combination of a belief in the destruction of the world,
together with conspiracy theories, is liable to produce
violent acts in an effort to "hasten the end," as perceived
in certain Judeo-Christian interpretations of the messianic
age. The report claims that "Israeli sources are extremely
concerned that the Temple Mount will be the scene of violent
clashes between religious fanatics." It claims that "some
cultic groups have already penetrated Israel, apparently
with the goal of preparing for what they believe will be the
end of days." In a related development, the government
yesterday discussed preparations for the millennium.
Internal Security Minister Shlomo Ben-Ami said that there
was no need to create a drama around every messianic
Christian group that arrives in Israel. Ben-Ami's position
stands in contrast to that of the police, who are advising
the Interior Ministry to issue expulsion orders against
messianic groups of all types, claiming that they constitute
a danger to public order.
Question: Just a
coincidence? I think not.
Revelation 16:16
And he gathered them together into a place called in the
Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Note: A battle about to
begin between mankind and Jesus.
Revelation 14:19-15:3
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and
gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great
winepress of the wrath of God.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood
came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by
the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
Note: Talking about a
great war here with blood as high as the horse bridles and
over a huge area.
Revelation 15:1-3
1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous,
seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is
filled up the wrath of God.
2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and
them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over
his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his
name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and
the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy
works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou
King of saints.
Revelation 20:1-3
1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key
of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is
the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and
set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no
more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after
that he must be loosed a little season.
Revelation 16:9
And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the
name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they
repented not to give him glory.
Note: Thus we see quite
a bit of activity under the heading of war and plagues. All
this with you and I present with Christ and in Spirit form.
