Whole Armor of God Graphic
Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil––Eph. 6:11. This armor is not material or
physical. It is spiritual–of the mind and heart. It is
spiritual, mental and intellectual. It is the truth of God. |
Stand
therefore, having your loins girt about with truth. –Eph 6:14 Truth will set you free. Christ is truth.

|
And take the
helmet of salvation. –Eph. 6:17 Salvation is the process whereby we receive the mind, nature and Spirit of our Heavenly Father into our minds, coupled with our human spirit to create a new creature in Christ within us. |
...and
having on the breastplate or righteousness. –Eph. 6:14 Put on Jesus Christ and his righteousness. |
Above all,
taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked. –Eph. 6:16 He is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. –Prov. 30:5 |
|
And your
feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. –Eph. 6:15 Study, know and understand the Word of God. Live the gospel. |
...and the
sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. – Eph. 6:17 Live by every word of God. Matt. 4:4 |
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints –Eph. 6:18. As you read Ephesians 6 and verses 10 through 18 we see six pieces of armor being put on in specific order. Each piece of armor being spiritual and each being Christ. Now after each is put on, and we can do this mentally in just one second and the need arises, we pray. We pray general and specific prayers, for ourselves and others. When we do this, we put on Christ–Gal. 3:27. | ||||||||||||||||||||
