Just Where Do I Stand
God?
MP3
As I was waking up this morning, Fox News was interviewing the past
CEO of GE, Jack Welch about his new,
best-selling book, "Winning" [in the business world]. In
sharing one of the key elements of winning CEOs or leaders, he stated
that effective leaders let their employees or personnel know where they
stand. This included, but was not limited to, how well the
employee was doing, what his or her opportunities were and what the
future held for them in the company.
This being true, our Heavenly Father is the most "winning" CEO in the
Universe. He is absolutely candid with us throughout the Word of
God as to where we stand, what our opportunities are and what our future
can be.
Q: Does God love me?
A: We love him, because he first loved us.
–1 John 4:19
Q: Why did God call me?
A: Who hath saved us, and called us with an
holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own
purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world
began. –2 Timothy 1:9
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated
according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel
of his own will. –Ephesians 1:11
Q: Is God offering me eternal life?
A: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that
believeth on me hath everlasting life. –John 6:47
Q: Then God is offering me Salvation,
correct?
A: But we are bound to give thanks
alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath
from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the
Spirit and belief of the truth. –2 Thessalonians 2:13
Q: Will God lead me to truth?
A: Howbeit when it, the Spirit of
truth, is come, it will guide you into all truth. –John 16:13a
Q: Will God correct me when I need it?
A: But when we are judged, we are chastened
of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. -1
Corinthians 11:32
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and
repent. –Revelation 3:19
Q: As long as I stay in the Salvation
Process, will God always be there to work with me?
A: Being confident of this very
thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until
the day of Jesus Christ. –Philippians 1:6
The Word of God is full of these and other candid statements to us about
what God thinks of us, what He offers us, promises us and will deliver
unto us. The more we immerse ourselves into the Word of God, the
more we know exactly how we stand.
