SUBJECT:  End Time Prophecy

QUESTION:  Please explain the Seals, Trumpets and 7 Last Plagues we read of in Daniel and Revelation.  What will happen to the United States?  How will the Beast and False Prophet exert control?

ANSWER:

Regarding the U.S., Canada and Britain:

At first the Beast and False Prophet will exert some control but very soon in the situation United Europe attacks the U.S. in a massive military war, the beginning of World War Three.  According to the prophet Joel, 1/3 of us will die as a direct result of the attack (nuclear and chemical), 1/3 will die through disease and famine that will result from such a massive military attack.  Finally by mass invasion the remaining 1/3 will be taken captive and shipped to Europe.  90% of these will die in captivity.  At the return of Christ, there will only be some 8-12 million U.S. citizens still alive.  The same fates and relative numbers will remain for the rest of North America (Canada) and Britain.

This will be followed by the First Woe in which a United Europe will attack a combined Soviet-Chinese power bloc.  They will counter-attack in what is called the Second Woe and millions will be killed.

Then all the armies of these two groups will gather in and around Jerusalem to battle in what is called the Battle of Armageddon and the Day of the Lord culminating in the return of Jesus Christ.

North America is taken out just as the Great Tribulation begins (and lasts for 1,260 days) as seen in Daniel 12:7.  The First Woe takes place at the beginning of the Tribulation and the Second Woe at the end. 

Then there is a 30 day period (Daniel 12:11 and Revelation 7:9, 14) where the great multitudes gather, meaning the 144,000 and the great multitude besides them.  This is followed by the 3rd or Last Woe which lasts 45 days in which are released the 7 last plagues (Revelation 16:1-21; 6:12-14, 17; Daniel 12:12)

In prophecy we read of 7 Seals and 7 Trumpets

The first 4 Seals have already begun:

First Seal--White Horse---Deception (religious)  Matthew 24:4-5 and Revelation 6:1-2

Second Seal---Red  Horse---Wars of all kinds---Matthew 24:6-8 and Revelation 6:3-4

Third Seal---Black Horse---Famines---Matthew 24:7-8 and Revelation 6:5-6

Fourth Seal---Pale Horse---Pestilence---Matthew 24:7-8 and Revelation 6:7-8

Soon will come the 5th Seal which includes the first 6 Trumpets and the Great Tribulation.

The first 4 trumpets sound before the 5 trumpet which is the First Woe in which United Europe attacks the Soviet-Chinese block.

Therefore the first four trumpets will take place in the same time period of the attack on North America and Britain.

First Trumpet:  One third of the trees and all grass burned--Rev. 8:7

Second Trumpet: One third of sea becomes blood, one third of sea creatures die and one third of ships destroyed.

Revelation 8:8-9

Third Trumpet: One third of rivers become wormwood--Rev. 8:10-11

Fourth Trumpet: One third of sun, moon and starts darkened--Rev 8:12

Then comes the Fifth Seal which is the Great Tribulation and includes the 5th and 6th Trumpets or 1st and 2nd woes. (Matthew 24:9, 21-22; Luke 21:23-24 and Revelation 6:9-11)

Fifth Trumpet: First Woe--Revelation 9:1-12

Sixth Trumpet:  Second Woe--Revelation 9:13-21

Then comes the 30 day period for the gathering of the great multitude meaning the 144,000 and the great multitude besides them. (Daniel 12:11; Revelation 7:9,14)

Then comes the Last Woe---The 7th Trumpet which are the 7 Last Plagues.  The 7th Plague is the Day of the Lord which is the 6th Seal.

It is in the Day of the Lord that we have the Heavenly Signs and the 144,000 repent and are sealed (given the Holy Spirit).  The rest of God's people are protected through all these things except for a few who will be martyred for the sake of Christ

The 7th Seal is described in Revelation 16 and Revelation 8:1-2, 6 and covers all events of the 5th Seal to the Day of the Lord (6th Seal---7th Plague) and the return of Christ.

The Last Woe, 7 last plagues, 6th Seal and the Day of the Lord all take place in 45 days.

Again, the 7th Trumpet are the 7 Last Plagues:

First Plague: Sores on people who accepted the Mark of the Beast (Sunday worship)--Rev. 16:2

Second Plague: Sea turns to blood and all sea creatures die---Rev. 16:3

Third Plague: Rivers turn to blood---Rev. 16:4-7

Fourth Plague: Sun scorches humanity with great heat.  Humanity blasphemes God.---Rev. 16:8-9

Fifth Plague: Beast's seat of government afflicted.--Rev. 16:10-11

Sixth Plague: Euphrates dried up.  World's armies gathered to Armageddon. --Joel 3:9-17, Rev 16:12-16

Seventh Plague--Day of the Lord are covered in the following verses:

This all ends with the return of Christ and the first resurrection of all those who ever lived and had the Spirit of God in them.  This includes Moses, David, Elijah among others and coming down to those who are alive today and are protected in the Tribulation.

NUMBERS:

A word about the numbers of days.

You will read about 1,260 days which is the Great Tribulation.

You will read about 1,290 days which includes the Great Tribulation and the 30 days of the multitude gathering.

You will read about 1,335 days which include the two items above plus the 45 days of the 7 last plagues.

1,260 days:  Daniel 12:7--a "time" is a year, "times" are two years, and "half a time" is 1/2 year.

1,290 days: Daniel 12:11

1,335 days: Daniel 12:12
