SUBJECT:  Encouragement

QUESTION: What scriptures do you have that could encourage me in my trials

ANSWER:

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

When we give our trials all over to Him mentally, we are trusting Him with all our heart.  You will have to repeat several times a day that you are giving these trials to Him and meditate on that process.

Our strength comes from trusting Him:

Isaiah 26:4
Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

We must have strength, if we are going to get through the trials we are in.  That strength comes from our trusting Him to handle these trials.

God is our stronghold in our day of trouble:

Nahum 1:7
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

God cares for us.  He knows about the trials we are experiencing.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

See how this verse states that we are to cast all our cares (concerns and worries) upon Him.

We must trust that He will deliver us.

2 Corinthians 1:10
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

We have to go through the trial, but He gets us out the other side.  He is also there each step of the way.  The trial could not even take place without Him knowing about it.

Notice these prayers of asking God for help:

Psalm 25:20
O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

Psalm 31:1
In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

Psalm 141:8
But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

Trusting in God keeps us from fear and worry:

Psalm 56:11
In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

Isaiah 12:2
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Hebrews 13:6
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Trusting in God keeps us from sliding (or falling from) the Salvation Process, thus losing the Kingdom:

Psalm 26:1
Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

Trusting in God keeps us from desolation (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual):

Psalm 34:22
The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Trusting in God is to be coupled with doing good---invoking of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23):

Psalm 37:3
Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
