SUBJECT:  The Church

QUESTIONS:  What do you think of the scattering?  What do you think of the independent churches?

ANSWER

We can speak in general terms.  We do not have specific views regarding any of the 400-450 known groups who claim to stem from the Worldwide Church of God.

There are clearly two facts in evidence:

1) Apostasy set into the Worldwide Church of God and the brethren were scattered as they should have been when confronted by apostasy.

2) God has allowed the scattering.  This is clearly self-evident.

We also know a third fact:

3. The church and the Work of God (which the church does) will continue at least to the beginning of the Tribulation.

We have urged all we come in contact with to respond to their Godly calling and to do the Work of God they have been set aside to do as a part of that calling.  We feel that as part of the Godly calling, individuals are called to specific organizations within which they can do that work and perfect that calling which also includes overcoming sin and becoming like Christ.

God will bring the brethren back together according to His Plan and His timetable.  Do not believe man or human organizations can do this without the Hand of God involved.  This could take place during the Tribulation and definitely at the return of Jesus Christ.

When asked what we think of this church or that, we respond by saying that we only know what OUR organizational calling is, namely to proclaim the good news of the gospel to the world and to feed the flock and aid them and us to overcome sin, invoke Godly principles (Galations 5:22-23) and to become like Jesus Christ.
